The day-to-day running and general management of the Community Centre is carried out by the Birch Hill Community Association.
The Community Association is a group of unpaid volunteers that work to ensure the community centre is available to the local groups and other users.
The Community Association consists of an executive committee, which includes the following officers: Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, and Lettings Officer.
The people in the committee do the work in running the centre. A Local Group/Community Association meeting is held about once a quarter. Each local group can send one or more representatives to these meetings. Local town and borough councils can also attend, along with any other resident of Birch Hill who wants to get involved. The meetings discuss any problems in the centre, and any improvements or special events coming up.
Once a year in October or November there is the Association Annual General Meeting (AGM). At this meeting, there is a report of the year's activities and elections for the executive committee officers for the coming year.
Current executive committee members are:
Chairperson: John Nicholson
Secretary: Nicola Nicholson
Lettings: Sandie Baily
Maintenance: Shared amoungst the committee
Treasurer: Jim Snowden
